“We didn't lose to a team called Barcelona, we lost to a man called Lionel Messi. And there is no shame in losing to such a Great Man,” Tottenham Hotspur’s manager Mauricio Pochettino said after his side lost 3-1 to FC Barcelona in the Champions League Wednesday night.

The former Argentina footballer did not hesitate in admitting that because the Barca skipper took the charge from the first whistle of the match and orchestrated his team’s performance in Wembley.

The first two goals were scored by Philip Coutinho and Ivan Rakitic before the Little Master took the centre stage with the final goal of the match.

With that goal, Messi now has scored more goals (21) and provided more assists (6) against English clubs in the Champions League than against sides from any other nation.

Messi scores a lot of goals and it’s as simple as that he needs to come up with a different celebration in order to keep things entertaining from his end, apart from his goals that are already very enjoyable.

On Wednesday night, when Messi found the net, he broke into his usual celebration with his teammates. But, once that got over, he did a bizarre celebration to the cameras. The Argentine master put his hands either side of his head and shook back and forth in a strange never before seen style. He ended it with a flying kiss.

While many fans thought the celebration was dedicated to his kids, especially his youngest son Ciro, there were a few who didn’t seem to have liked the celebration.

“Did Messi slap his head repeatedly on that celebration?” One fan contemplated. While another was slightly harsher in his deliberation labelling it “the worst thing I’ve ever seen in my life.”
