Yuvi's back was the buzz on Twitter as the BCCI on Monday announced the team for the Australia series that is set to begin in a few weeks. Yuvraj Singh was included in the squad for the T20 and three ODIs with MS Dhoni named as captain.

Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag failed to return to the team. Yuvraj's fitness partner Zaheer Khan also couldn't make the team.

India has won the ICC Champions Trophy and the tri-series in the West Indies without the likes of Gambhir, Yuvraj and Sehwag.

But Yuvraj has let his bat do the talking for his case as he scored 123, 40 and 61 against West Indies A, and 84 against India Red that helped his team to the Challenger Trophy final which they won.

Dinesh Karthik and Mohit Sharma have been dropped with Mohammed Shami also getting a go.

India will play one Twenty20 and seven ODIs against Australia. But selectors decided to pick the squad only for the Twenty20 and first three ODIs.

Indian team: Mahendra Singh Dhoni (captain), Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ishant Sharma, Vinay Kumar, Amit Mishra, Ambati Rayudu, Mohammed Shami, Jaydev Unadkat.
