Many actresses like Bhagyashree, Twinkle Khanna, and others, left films at the peak of their careers, though the former made a comeback, Twinkle decided to stay away from the limelight and became a writer. Another such actress, who left films at 19, is now a top executive in a Rs 28000 crore firm. 

The actress we are talking about has worked with Ajay Devgn, Mahesh Babu, Sanjay Dutt, and other superstars and has even given a cult classic movie, however, after a series of flops, she quit Bollywood. She is none other than Mayoori Kango. 

Mayoori Kango cleared the exams for IIT and got admission in IIT Kanpur, however, she left it to make her Bollywood debut alongside Kay Kay Menon in Naseem, however, got recognition after her appearance in the movie Papa Kehte Hain. The film though failed to perform well at the box office, later became a cult classic. After this, the actress starred in several movies like Betaab, Hogi Pyaar Ki Jeet, Badal, Jung, Shikari, and more, however, most of her films failed at the box office and her short career, the actress only managed to give one hit. 

The actress also tried her luck in the south film industry and starred in the film Vamsi alongside Mahesh Babu, however, the film also failed to perform well at the box office. According to reports, Mayoori's 16 films got shelved and she was tagged 'unlucky for producers'. In 2003, Mayoori married an NRI Aditya Dhillon, and left films. 

After moving to New York with her husband, Mayoori got an MBA in marketing and finance from Baruch College Zicklin School of Business. The actress then worked as Managing Director for Performics, a leading digital media agency a part of the French group Publicis. In 2019, Mayoori joined Google India as Head of Industry - Agency Partnership. According to the Economic Times, Google India's gross ad revenue amounts to Rs 28000 crore.
