One such IAS officer currently in the spotlight is Rohini Sindhuri, who has been accused by the singer Lucky Ali of illegally seizing land owned by his trust on the outskirts of Bengaluru. The singer has filed a written complaint with the Karnataka Lokayukta against her, her husband and a relative.

In a post on X, Ali claimed that Sindhuri, her husband Sudhir Reddy, and her brother-in-law Madhusudan Reddy were involved in the illegal land acquisition through significant monetary transactions. The complaint, filed under Section 7 of the Karnataka Lokayukta Act, 1984, raises serious concerns about administrative misconduct and calls for an investigation into what is described as a "dereliction of duty" by the accused.
Rohini Sindhuri hails from Andhra Pradesh and was born on May 30, 1984. According to media reports, she completed her schooling at Kendriya Vidyalaya and then pursued a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering. In the 2009 UPSC examination, she secured the 43rd rank, which led to her becoming an IAS officer. Her father also worked in a government job. Rohini Sindhuri is married to Sudhir Reddy, a software engineer.
Sindhuri's first posting as a civil servant was as Assistant Commissioner in Tumakuru. She then worked in the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department's self-employment project in Bangalore until 2014. In July 2017, she was appointed as the Deputy Commissioner of Hassan. She also worked in the Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Department. After a seven-month interval, the Karnataka government appointed her as the Chief Editor for the Karnataka Gazette Department.
