Paris Saint-Germain created history when they reached the final of the UEFA Champions League for the first time as they defeated RB Leipzig 3-0. Marquinhos scored in the 13th minute of the match and the advantage was extended by Angel Di Maria in the 42nd minute. The game was put beyond RB Leipzig when Juan Bernat Velasco scored in the 56th minute to help Paris Saint Germain reach the final of the tournament which will be played on August 23rd.

Neymar was in fine form and his assists throughout the match proved to be too much for RB Leipzig to handle. The German club, who have been playing in the professional circuit for only 11 years, have however surpassed expectations by reaching at this stage of the UEFA Champions League.

Paris Saint Germain, who are celebrating 50 years as a club, had only appeared once in the final of a European competition and that was their UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup victory in 1996. In 1997, they were runners-up.

Dominant Bayern Munich

However, Paris Saint-Germain will have their hands full against a dominant Bayern Munich side, who are on a high after mauling Barcelona 8-2. Bayern Munich are favorites to enter the final as they take on Lyon on August 20. In their previous encounter, Bayern Munich outclassed Barcelona during their 8-2 win in the quarterfinals of the Champions League. The record Bundesliga champions' merciless and relentless counterattacking football helped them secure their spot in the semifinal of the tournament.

One of Bayern's star performers on the night was Canadian wingback Alphonso Davies, who pocked the mighty Lionel Messi for an entire 90 minutes.

The pacy 19-year-old uses his lightning speed to dominate his opponents as he managed to do exactly that to help Bayern score their 5th goal on the night. In the second half of the match, Davies picked up the ball on the left-hand side of Barca's territory and decided to go on one of his trademark runs.

The left-wingback completely humiliated Barcelona's Nelson Semedo with his quick footwork before taking him on and leaving him behind to setup Joshua Kimmich for an easy tap-in. Barcelona ended up conceding eight goals in a match for the first time since 1946 as they bowed out of the Champions League.Bayern Munich scored four goals in the first half, and score four more in the second half
