'It is a...': Pankaj Dheer talks about his complex relationship with son in Dhruv Tara | Exclusive

Veteran star Pankaj Dheer, who is known for portraying Karna in Mahabharat, is one of the most loved and celebrated actors. Recently, the actor joined the cast of the popular TV show Dhruv Tara – Samay Sadi Se Pare as Dhruv's father.

In an exclusive conversation with DNA, the actor talked about his new character Giriraj, Dhruv’s father, and revealed why he and his son have a complex relationship. He said, “It is the misunderstanding between father and son. Both are nice humans; he is a good father and he is a good son. But there is the misunderstanding in the mind of the son where he is blaming his father for getting married for the second time and not being honest to his first wife.”

On being asked what is the most important factor for choosing any role, Pankaj Dheer replied, “As far as television is concerned, there are only two factors; one is that you are offered an excellent role and the other one is the monetary benefit. So you always make a choice between these two things.”

Meanwhile, Karan V Grover, who played Suryapratap in the show Dhruv Tara – Samay Sadi Se Pare, talked about his character and mentioned that he enjoys taking on challenging roles. When asked if it was tough for him to take on the role since he had to grow a beard and change his appearance to play Suryapratap, he replied that he wasn't nervous at all because he enjoys being challenged.
