Rishikesh, Uttarakhand - In a dramatic incident on Saturday, two women sustained minor injuries when they found themselves caught in the midst of a bullfight in the bustling Ram Jhula area of Rishikesh. The chaotic scene unfolded inside a small bag shop, where two bulls, engaged in a fierce altercation on the street, abruptly barged into the store, startling customers and bystanders.

CCTV footage capturing the event vividly illustrates the harrowing ordeal faced by the women. Amid the tumult, the bulls charged into the shop, trapping the two women in a corner. As the bulls thrashed about in their dispute, the women fell to the ground, seemingly unable to escape the animals' path.

Miraculously, the merchandise stacked in the shop, including numerous purses and bags, inadvertently shielded the women from the bulls' potentially fatal kicks. The bulls, visibly agitated, made repeated attempts to lash out at the women, who remained pinned down amidst the falling bags.

Quick action by the shopkeeper averted further tragedy. Scaling the piled goods, the shopkeeper courageously intervened, wielding a stick to herd the bulls out of the store and back onto the street.

This incident echoes a similar, tragic event from last year in Bahraich district, Uttar Pradesh, where a farmer lost his life in a deadly encounter with a rampaging bull. Such encounters serve as stark reminders of the unpredictable risks posed by stray bulls in urban areas, highlighting the need for vigilance and safety measures to protect both residents and visitors alike.
