In July 2020, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan had requested his wife, interior designer Gauri Khan to refurbish his swanky Red Chillies Entertainment office in Mumbai via a comment on one of her Instagram posts. And seems like, the producer-entrepreneur has heeded his request and delivered a brand new look.
Gauri Khan took up the design project during the lockdown and gave it a complete makeover, as requested by her superstar husband.
On Friday, Gauri took to her Instagram handle to share pictures of the finished space.

As per SRK's request to revamp the office, Gauri Khan set out to design a new lounge area within the office of production house Red Chillies Entertainment by setting up a space that was fresh, welcoming and versatile, especially in the post-COIVD era. "Shah Rukh has, for some time now, wanted to revamp one section of the office into something more creative than just desks and tables. But since hundreds of people moved in and out every day, it was hard to put a stop to things in the daily churn of life and take time off to renovate. But the pandemic changed things last year. It was the perfect time to take a break to refurbish this floor," Gauri Khan told Vogue India in an exclusive interview.

Gauri Khan and her team toiled for nearly eight months to give the space a new look and design it in a way that creates a relaxing environment for the employees as well as boosts their creative minds. "Shah Rukh's brief was simple: to create a neat, clean, simple and effective space that would keep in mind the needs of a family office and would double as a 'hangout' spot for the entire Red Chillies entourage," Gauri told Vogue.

Sharing photos of SRK's Red Chillies Entertainment office on Instagram, Gauri wrote, "Designing Shah Rukh’s office at Red Chillies was a great experience throughout the lockdown." She also mentioned that the said space had a 'masculine and minimalistic theme with a color palette of black, white and grey'.

"Designing the office with a huge outdoor space was an interesting challenge for me. The ease and comfort to attend virtual meetings as well as creatively brainstorming for future projects at his office at Red Chillies office was my topmost priority for him," Gauri Khan wrote on Instagram.
