The actor had earlier told After Hrs that he was going overseas for a course in hydro-therapy, which was much needed because of all the wear and tear his body had taken in the last year. Yes, the Bollywood superstar has always believed in doing his own stunts. As a result, he experienced certain aches, pains, ruptured muscles and overall fatigue. So, he had enrolled for hydrotherapy sessions. Hopefully, the Khiladi is back to being fighting fit.

Since he lost his mother, Gitanjali Talyarkhan, Akshaye has his nose buried in work. Anyway, last Wednesday, the actor, known for his superlative performances flew in just for a day. He called his closest friend and drove straight to a South Mumbai club to indulge in a game of squash. And when he had his fill of the game, AK flew right back to work.

Post the success of Uri: The Surgical Strike, it looks like everyone is interested in knowing what director Aditya Dhar is making next. However, he is tight-lipped about it. “As of now, I’m consciously taking a break. But, there are a few concepts I have already worked upon. I’ll take a few more days and zero in on what I need to do,” he told us recently. With the Pulwama attack that took place earlier this year, we were curious to know if the subject of another surgical strike strikes him as interesting and he said, “The army is something I’m very close to. I find war stories, tales of valour and sacrifices fascinating and war films are something which I’ll always want to do as a genre. But, I don’t want my immediate next film to be one. I want to explore different genres. Maybe I’ll come back to it after a few projects because there are some amazing stories that nobody knows about.” The director says that for him, the USP of the surgical strike has gone, since he has already made one film on it. “With Uri doing well, suddenly everyone wants to make a film on war or on the army. I want to be the one to start the next trend, not follow the trend,” he added.
