'Kalank' Teaser: Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt's first onscreen appearance in 21 years has got fans excited

Last year, it was a delightful surprise when the makers of Kalank announced the casting of the film. The period drama reunites Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt after two decades on the big screen. There were several reports making the rounds whether the actors will be sharing screen space or not, due to the history they shared together. But, they definitely shot together and we finally got a glimpse of it in the teaser unveiled today.

In a blink-and-miss moment, we saw Madhuri and Sanjay in the same frame. The duo seems to have an intense conversation in the sequence and is even seen wearing black outfits. Take a look at the still below and also try to find it in the teaser.

At the teaser launch, when Sanjay was talking about working in Kalank, he called Madhuri as 'Ma'am'! On being asked about working with Madhuri after many years, Dutt replied, "I felt good working with Madhuri Dixit and I will try ki zyada kaam ho." While Madhuri stated, "I think I am working with Sanjay Dutt after more than 20 years and just recently, I worked with Anil Kapoor after ages. It's always wonderful to work with the co-actors you have worked with before. I think it's been wonderful."

Talking about Kalank, the film is directed by Abhishek Varman and produced by Karan Johar under his home banner. Apart from Madhuri and Sanjay, the film also stars Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur in the lead roles. Kalank is slated to release on April 17, 2019.
