Sunny Deol opens up about bank publishing his property auction notice in newspaper: 'Somehow people like enjoying it'

Sunny Deol delivered his career's biggest blockbuster, Gadar 2, and a few days after the release of his film, a bank issued a public notice about the e-auction of his Sunny Villa due to alleged non-payment of dues. Sunny Deol has shared his thoughts about the whole fiasco. 

For the unversed, on August 20, a notice was issued by Bank of Baroda in a national newspaper stating that Sunny's luxurious villa in Mumbai's Juhu is being auctioned by the bank to recover a loan of Rs 56 crore along with the interest levied on the loan. However, the notice was withdrawn shortly after, quoting a ‘technical glitch’.

During an interview with Zoom, Sunny shared his thoughts when the notice was initially published. He said, "I don’t react to things because I know what I have, what I have to do, what the problem was and I sorted it out. But what hurts is that they printed the notice in the newspaper. I said, 'What are they getting out of it? That’s my issue and what is wrong with it.' A human being does business, goes into losses and then when the losses cannot be taken care of, you have your property which you give away and you complete your losses off."

Sunny further added that people like spreading negativity and pulling down others. Explaining his views on the same the actor continued, "So why should it be made into some kind of a talk anyway? But somehow people like enjoying it… I have seen this so many times that I tell myself, ‘Carry on.’ It doesn’t bother me, because I know what I am, I know what it is. But you are hurting my fans who say, ‘Why are they doing this?’ but I tell them, ‘Don’t worry, sab bhadiya hain." Till now, Sunny Deol's Gadar 2 has earned a whooping Rs 474.35 crores.
