As Managing Director and CEO, Pradeep Bakshi has led Voltas Limited, a well-known Tata Group company, since 2018. Bakshi, who has almost thirty years of experience in the consumer durables sector, has played a key role in guiding the business towards steady expansion and financial success.
 
Bakshi, who graduated from the University of Delhi, worked for Electrolux Kelvinator before moving on to Voltas in 2001. He most recently held the role of senior manager there. He started his career at Voltas in a number of senior positions, chief among them being the head of the air cooling products business, where he made a substantial contribution to increasing the division's profits and sales. Voltas Limited is a multinational home appliance company based in Mumbai, India. It was founded in 1954 as a joint venture between Volkart Brothers and Tata Sons. As of June 15, 2024, it had a market capitalization of Rs 49,585 crore. 

Bakshi received an annual salary of Rs 7.21 crore in FY24, per Voltas' annual report for the fiscal year that ended in March 2024. This included a Rs 1.25 crore salary, Rs 2.90 crore in perks and allowances (including retirement benefits), and Rs 3.06 crore in commissions, all of which are scheduled to be paid in FY25.

Apart from his position at Voltas, Bakshi is a member of the Voltbek Home Appliances Ltd. Board of Directors. He has been Head of Operations at UPBG for 12 years, during which time he has proven to be one of the most capable and adaptable executives to have led the organisation. Bakshi has received numerous honours for his work, such as the President's Award for Energy Conservation and the 2013 Appliances Man of the Year title.
