The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) will soon start the functioning of the Mundka- Bahadurgarh section with the commissioner for Metro Rail Safety giving mandatory approval to start passenger operations on the 11.2 kilometres long section. It is, however, subject to the fulfillment of certain conditions and stipulation.

The DMRC will decide upon the final date of opening the corridor after complying with the orders of the commissioner.

The Green Line (extension of the Inderlok – Mundka Corridor) will be Delhi Metro's third connectivity to the neighbouring state of Haryana. The Metro services are already functional in Gurugram and Faridabad cities of the state.

This entire elevated section of the Metro will not only connect the national Capital with Bahadurgarh, but will also provide connectivity to many outer areas in the western fringes of Delhi such as Mundka, Ghevra and Tikri Kalan.

The total route length of this Metro section will be 11.183 km with seven stations being the elevated ones. While in Delhi, the stations will be Mundka Industrial Area, Ghevra, Tikri Kalan, Tikri Border; in Haryana, it will be Modern Industrial Estate, Bus Stand, City Park. After the completion of this corridor, the entire Inderlok – Bahadurgarh Metro section will be 26.33 km long.

With the opening of this section, the Delhi Metro network will expand to 288 kms with 208 Metro stations.

The frequency of trains on Mundka-Bahadurgarh section, however, will be the lowest in the entire Metro network. While it is five minutes per train on other routes, however, on this route, trains will arrive at an interval of around half an hour.

The DMRC was unable to connect the corridor and the train depot as it could not build the latter due to unavailability of land. Since there is no space to park extra trains, the frequency will be affected on the part of the Metro.
