Some people change their pathways in life but that doesn’t mean that they are confused instead it states that they are brave enough to take risks.

One such inspiring story is of IAS officer Vishakha Yadav, who cleared the UPSC exam and secured AIR 6.

Vishakha hails from Delhi. She pursued her education at Delhi Technological University (DTU), where she studied engineering. 

After finishing her engineering, Vishakha began doing a job, but her heart was still fixated on becoming an IAS officer. Even though she was thriving at Cisco in Bangalore, her inner passion motivated her to chase her dream. She resigned from her job and started preparing for becoming an IAS.

After two failed attempts, Vishakha eventually excelled in 2019 by clearing the UPSC exam. Her unwavering determination paid off, as she got AIR 6 with a total of 1046 marks out of 2025. The credit behind Vishaka’s success goes to her father, Assistant Sub-Inspector Rajkumar Yadav, and mother, Sarita Yadav who encouraged her to achieve her goals. 

She was granted the AGMUT cadre to the Indian Administrative Service(IAS) on the basis of results of UPSC 2020.
