George Clooney wins Best Actor at Washington Critics Awards

George Clooney's new film Up In The Air, has been hugely appreciated and rewarded at the Washington Critics Awards.

The Washington, DC Area Film Critics Association (WAFCA) noted the film for the Best Movie award, while the Ocean's Eleven star landed with the Best Actor prize for his role in the film.

Also, filmmaker Jason Reitman took the Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay Awards for the film, Contactmusic reports.

Up In The Air, had earned Best Film honour from the National Board of Review of Motion Pictures last week.

Meanwhile, Brit star Carey Mulligan was named Best Actress for her role in An Education.
