Many actors like Addite Malik, Kavita Kaushik, and others left television after they were not offered good projects. While some of them have chosen a different profession, others are still looking for work. One such actress who quit television is now teaching others.

The actress we are talking about became a star with just one show and participated in several reality shows, however, she was struggling to get good work and it was then that she decided to take a shift in her career. She is none other than Aishwarya Sakhuja.

Aishwarya Sakhuja started her career as a background dancer in Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan's Bhool Bhulaiyaa. She then appeared as the host of the television show Hello Kaun? Pehchaan Kaun, Lift Kara Do. However, she made her acting debut with the show Rishta.com.

Aishwarya then starred in the show Saas Bina Sasural wherein she played the role of Tanya Sharma aka Toasty alongside Ravi Dubey and Meghan Jadhav. The show became a hit and went on for 2 years. This show made Aishwarya a star in the television industry. She went on to star in several shows like Yeh Hai Aashiqui, Trideviyaan, Sarabhai vs Sarabhai: Take 2, Yeh Hai Chahatein, and Main Naa Bhoolungi. She also participated in several reality television shows like Nach Baliye 7, and Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7.

However, the actress revealed in a recent interview that she had no work for 1-1 and half years and didn't want to blame it on the industry. She told Hindustan Times, "Actors are freelancers and if we say no to something, we don’t know how long the period between two projects will last. I was going through the same thing and calls from even TV had stopped coming. It was a completely dry spell for me. I just did not know what was going wrong. Waking up every day had become difficult as I had no sense of purpose.”

Her husband realised what she needed to get through the phase. “He saw me spiraling down mentally and made me speak to a therapist, who suggested me to take this course (of becoming a therapist) as she felt I’d be good at it,” she shares, adding that while she was doubtful, Nag motivated her to take up the course and she started with a five-day workshop.

Well, she is now a certified therapist who revealed the same to the Hindustan Times and said, "I’ve been studying therapy for the past two years and am now working as a therapist, taking clients. I got my certification last month in June. The pictures are from my class as I conduct workshops for regression therapy. I’m a trainer in this subject now.”
