Akshay Kumar is set to entertain the audience with his much-anticipated movie Sarfira. The actor is currently busy promoting the film and during an interview, he reacted to being questioned for doing four films a year.

In an interview with Galatta Plus, Akshay Kumar compared the competitive atmosphere in Bollywood to being a racehorse, and said, “When they categorise an actor as number one or two, I feel like a Mahalaxmi ka ghoda running in a race. Hindi cinema produces about 190-200 films a year, and with the South film industry included, there are many films but just 8 to 12 leading actors. So why should we fight over who’s number one? Everyone has work. The whole idea is to just work.”

The actor further addressed criticism over him doing four films a year and said, “A lot of people question why I do 4 films a year. I don’t understand this. It’s the first time I’ve heard someone ask why I work so much. Have you ever heard anyone question why someone works? I do 4 films a year, and people have a problem with that.”

The actor's last film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, which also starred Tiger Shroff, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Manushi Chhillar, Alaya F, and Sonakshi Sinha in key roles, failed to perform well at the box office. Now, the actor is set to entertain the audience in Sarfira, which also stars Radhika Madan and Paresh Rawal. The film is a remake of Suriya's Soorari Pottru. The film is set to release in theatres today (July 12).

Other than this, Akshay Kumar also has Khel Khel Mein starring Taapsee Pannu and Ammy Virk which is set to release on August 15 and will clash with Shraddha Kapoor's Stree 2. He will also be seen in the movie Welcome to The Jungle which is set to release in December.
