Luv Sinha shares update about dad Shatrughan Sinha's health: 'We took my father to the hospital for...'

Luv Sinha on Monday thanked well-wishers for their concern over his father Shatrughan Sinha's health, reiterating that the veteran star and the Member of Parliament is admitted to a hospital in Mumbai after he developed a strong fever and not because he underwent a surgery.

"In regard to my father’s health I’d like to clarify that there was no surgical procedure, and one shouldn’t believe unverified news. We took my father to the hospital for his annual checkup, and because he had a strong fever. Thank you to everyone who has been concerned", the Gadar 2 actor wrote on X (previously known as Twitter).

Shatrughan's admission to the hospital comes as a bit of a downer for the Sinha family after the double celebrations of the actor's Lok Sabha win and his daughter Sonakshi's wedding. Shatrughan recently won the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from West Bengal's Asansol constituency, defeating BJP candidate Surendrajeet Singh Ahluwalia by a margin of 59,564 votes.

Meanwhile, Sonakshi and Zaheer tied the knot on June 23 in Mumbai after seven years of dating. The couple had a civil marriage ceremony at the actress's home in Bandra and a grand reception in Bastian. The wedding festivities were attended by Shatrughan Sinha and his wife Poonam, but Sonakshi's brother Luv chose to skip the festivities.
