The coronavirus outbreak has brought most daily activities to a halt with people needing to maintain all social distancing norms to create a safer environment for everyone.

In a bit to raise social-distancing awareness, Tiruppur Police came up with a unique move and used former Team India skipper MS Dhoni's name to emphasise the importance of maintaining social distancing protocols for the safety of each other.

Tiruppur, a city in Tamil Nadu, is widely considered as Dhoni's second home due to the 39-year-old being a key member of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) since the inaugural season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) back in 2008.

Mahi, who is also known by the name of Thala, is one of the most popular characters in this part of the world.

"#tnpolice  #Tiruppur #tiruppurcitypolice  M S D-maintain social distance," Truppur police captioned their post on Twitter.
