Meet Sharmila Faruqui, Pakistani politician seen with Mukesh Ambani, Isha Ambani

Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani was recently seen with Pakistani politician Sharmila Faruqui at Disneyland Paris. India's wealthiest man is currently in the French capital with his family, including his wife Nita Ambani and daughter Isha Ambani. The Ambani family is expected to attend several events at the upcoming Paris Olympics.

Who is Sharmila Faruqui?

Sharmila Saheba Faruqui, 46, is a Pakistani politician associated with Bilawal Bhutto Zardari's Pakistan People’s Party (PPP). Born on January 25, 1978, she hails from a well-known political family and is a prominent politician from Sindh and has been elected twice to the Sindh Assembly.

She is the maternal granddaughter of N. M. Uqaili, a former Pakistan Minister of Finance, and the niece of Salman Faruqui, a close associate of President Asif Ali Zardari. Her father, Usman Farooqi, was a PPP leader and the former chairman of Pakistan Steel Mills, serving from 1981 to 1996. He passed away in 2021.
