Dad-to-be Ranveer Singh is all set to play the role of an intelligence officer in a film. The actor has joined hands with Aditya Dhar, director of the 2019 blockbuster film 'Uri: The Surgical Strike', for an action drama film called 'Dhurandhar'. Apart from Ranveer Singh, the film will also star Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal. Now, another actor has reportedly signed the film - Akshaye Khanna. 

According to a report in Pinkvilla, Akshaye Khanna is going to play a special role in the film. He was so impressed with the story Aditya prepared for the film, that he could not refuse the role. The report also said that the shooting of this film is going to start in August this year. The first schedule of this film will be shot first in India and then at locations outside. It is being told that this story will be based on a true incident, and Ranveer Singh will be seen in the role of a strong RAW agent.

As per another report, 'Dhurandhar' is not the final name of the film, but it could be changed later. 

No information has been revealed yet about Akshaye Khanna's role in the film. Let us tell you that Akshaye Khanna made his debut with Pankaj Parashar's romantic drama film Himalay Putra (1997). He is the youngest son of late Bollywood star Vinod Khanna and his wife Geetanjali. 

Even though his debut film 'Himalaya Putra' was a flop, Akshaye's acting chops were appreciated. In the career of 27 years, Akshaye Khanna delivered 23 flop films. He was last seen in the 2017 film 'Ittefaq'. 'Dhurandhar' will be his first film in 7 years. 

According to GQ India, Akshay's net worth is Rs 148 crores.
