The star we are talking about recently made headlines for his performances in the movies. He has starred in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Gujarati and Bhojpuri films and is not just an actor, but also a politician. He is none other than Ravi Kishan.
Ravi Kishan started his career with Bollywood film Pitambar and went on to star in hits like Hera Pheri, Kudrat, Army, Tere Naam and more. However, when the actor started working in Bhojpuri cinema, he got instant fame and became a household name. Some of his popular films include Saiyaan Hamar, Kab Hoi Gawna Hamar, Dulha Milal Dildar, Gabbar Singh, Ganga and Banke Bihari MLA among others. These films made Ravi Kishan a superstar in Bhojpuri cinema.
In 2014, Ravi Kishan decided to join politics and joined INC and contested elections from Jaunpur constituency in UP, but saw defeat. Later in 2017, he joined BJP and contested 2019 elections from Gorakhpur. He won with over 3 lakh votes. He even won the 2024 elections from the same constituency.
According to reports, the actor gets Rs 1 lakh as salary as MP and charges Rs 50 lakh per film. Not only this, the actor also owns 11 houses including one flat in Andheri West, Mumbai, one flat in Sky Viman Nagar, Pune, a bungalow in Jogeshwari, Mumbai, a flat in Oshiwara, a flat in Goregaon West, Mumbai and other bungalows in Gorakhpur, Jaunpur.
He is given Rs 70 thousand every month as allowance for his Lok Sabha constituency. At the same time, Rs 60 thousand is given to him for his employees and other expenses. The total net worth of the 55 year old actor is Rs 36 crore, out of which there are movable assets worth Rs 14.96 crore and immovable assets worth Rs 20.70 crore. He also has ancestral property worth Rs 2.55 crore is also included. However, despite such luxurious life, the actor is reportedly debt-ridden. According to a report in Navbharat Times, Ravi Kishan has to pay a debt of Rs 1.68 crore.
Meanwhile, he recently won hearts with his performance in Laapataa Ladies, wherein he essayed the role of a police officer. The actor’s performance was much loved by the audience, even though the film failed to perform well at the box office. He also impressed everyone with his acting chops in Maamla Legal Hai. Meanwhile, he will next be seen in the movie JNU: Jahangir National University which also stars Urvashi Rautela, Rashmika Mandanna and others in key roles.
