Jagdish Godia: This 70-year-old ex-employee of state irrigation department often comes to Mumbai from Baroda to visit his daughter at Santacruz. His right arm was dislocated in the blast at Khar station. He has been operated twice at KEM Hospital. His son-in-law Darshan Kahar, a music director, said, “He was initially admitted in VN Desai Hospital. We shifted him to KEM late Tuesday night.”

Amjad Ansari, 19: “I was going to see my colleague at Mahim station. Soon after we got down, the blast took place. Two other colleagues of mine, Mahrukh and Sajeed, are injured badly and are taking treatment in other ward,” said Amjad, who is employed in a bakery at Malad adding that the scene in the station was horrible.

Santosh Patil : This constable, who mans the Siddhivinayak Temple, was going back to his home in Borivali after finishing work. “I was brought to platform by other passengers. When I showed my ID and asked them to inform the nearest police station, a jeep from Mahim police station arrived immediately and took four-five of us to KEM,” he said.

Rameshwar Nandanwar, 51: Nandanwar, a deputy chief inspector (Shop and Establishment) with BMC’s Charni Road office, had bruises all over his body. “I think my eardrums are badly damaged,” he said. He was returning to his Vasai home in the Virar fast from Mumbai Central.
