The Indian skipper was seen being smeared with gulal by Sudhir, Ram Babu and a few children as he boarded the team bus for reaching the Chinnaswamy Stadium, where India play Bangladesh in their third World T20 tie on Wednesday. Both Sudhir and Ram Babu are familiar faces on Indian cricket grounds as they are seen waving giant tri colours all throughout the games. Sudhir has another distinction to his name, he is very close to Sachin Tendulkar and is known as his biggest fan while Ram Babu is an ardent Dhoni supporter.

The security around the Indian Cricket Team is of the highest level and no outsider is allowed to meet the cricketers but Dhoni himself came forward and provided the special privilege to his aficionados. Dhoni got up on the team bus after his forehead was smeared with gulal. He would be aiming to lead his team to a convincing victory against Bangladesh as they would help them pep up their run rate. India have so far won one game against Pakistan and lost one against New Zealand, and are lying fourth in the table with two points.
