Madhuri Dixit was 'mad' for this Indian cricketer; not Kapil Dev, Sachin Tendulkar, Ravi Shastri, Mohammad Azharuddin

One of the most popular actresses Madhuri Dixit is now married to Dr. Shriram Madhav Nene in 1999, but she had once confessed her love for a former Indian cricketer.

That cricketer, who also captained Team India, is 18 years older than the Dhak Dhak girl. He is one of the best opening batsman in the history of cricket. He was part of the Kapil Dev-led team, that created history by lifting the 1983 World Cup at Lord's in London. He is none other than Sunil Gavaskar, who celebrates his 75th birthday on July 10.

In 1992, while talking to the India Today magazine, the Dil To Pagal Hai actress had said, "I am mad for Sunil Gavaskar. He is too sexy. I want to run behind him and he even came in my dream." The Bollywood star actress was 25 when she said this and the Indian cricket legend was 43.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Madhuri was last seen judging the fourth season of the dance reality show Dance Deewane, along with Suniel Shetty. The show ran from February to May this year and was telecast on Colors TV. She has been associated with the show since its inception in 2018 and has judged the previous three seasons as well.
