Indian cricket team won the World Cup and also hearts of crores of Indians; no small achievement that it did not lose a single match". "CHAMPIONS! Our team brings the T20 World Cup home in STYLE! We are proud of the Indian Cricket Team. This match was HISTORIC." 

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also congratulated the team. "Our players put up a stellar performance throughout the T20 World Cup with unmatched team spirit and sportsmanship. The nation swells with pride at their historic achievement."
