Sania Mirza and Mohammed Shami are two of the most successful athletes that India has produced in recent decades. Sania is a renowned women's tennis player, while Shami is a champion pace bowler who played a crucial role in leading the Indian cricket team to the final of the ODI World Cup 2023.

Recently, rumors have been circulating that Sania Mirza and Mohammed Shami are planning to tie the knot.

While Sania Mirza and Pakistani cricket star Shoaib Malik finalized their divorce earlier this year, Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami is also currently separated from his wife, Hasin Jahan.

Contrary to the speculation, Sania's father, Imran Mirza, has unequivocally refuted the rumors of her impending wedding.

"This is all rubbish. She has not even met him," Imran told NDTV.

Several months ago, fans of both Sania Mirza and Mohammad Shami were intrigued by the idea of their potential marriage. Some even went as far as to dub them a perfect match, with a few netizens creating morphed images of the two that quickly spread across the internet.

These images were derived from Sania's marriage to Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik and Shami's marriage to Hasin Jahan.

Recently, Sania Mirza embarked on the Hajj pilgrimage, marking a significant personal milestone almost five months after her publicized split from Shoaib Malik. Sania, who has transitioned into a commentator role, was last seen working as a pundit for the 2024 French Open. In a poignant social media post, Sania expressed her aspirations for a profound and transformative experience during her Hajj journey.

"As I prepare for this transformative experience, I humbly ask for your forgiveness for any wrongdoings and shortcomings," she wrote. Sania expressed her gratitude and asked her followers to keep her in their thoughts and prayers. "I hope to come back as a better human being with a humble heart and stronger Imaan," she added.
