As Delhi Capitals (DC) are enjoying their time at the top of the table and their opener Shikhar Dhawan is donning the orange cap, the batsman personal life has been a roller coaster ride.

The cricketer wife Ayesha Mukherjee had left everyone surprised when she took to Instagram to announce that the couple's marriage of eight years was over.

Currently in the UAE playing Phase 2 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, the man who has been away from his Zoravar, made sure to have a chat with him.

The DC opener took to Instagram and shared an image of him on a video call with son Zoravar, who is currently in Australia. "Love spending time with him," Dhawan captioned the story.

Earlier, Ayesha took to Instagram to announce the news of divorce. "I THOUGHT DIVORCE WAS A DIRTY WORD UNTIL I BECAME A 2 TIME DIVORCEE," she said.

The Melbourne-based boxer was earlier married to an Australian businessman and has two daughters from a previous marriage. She and Dhawan got engaged in 2009 and married in 2012.

As for Dhawan, after leading the side against Sri Lanka, he was snubbed from India's squad for the T20 World Cup 2021. Dhawan is currently the leading run-scorer in IPL 2021 with 422 runs in nine matches. His innings included three half-centuries and a top score of 92.
