India’s long tour of England began last month when they locked horns against England in the three-match Twenty20 International (T20I) series, which the tourists won 2-1.

That was followed by India losing the 50-over format series. India and England again played a three-match One-Day International (ODI) series, where Virat Kohli and Co beat England in the opening ODI quite comfortably. However, the hosts made a comeback by winning the next two games and hence sealed the series 2-1.

Now that India and England are tied at 1-1, the decider of the series will be played in the form of the longest format of cricket, Tests. India and England are set to play a five-Test series, beginning from August 1 at Birmingham.

After the ODI series ended, Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli’s families were spotted chilling in London together. Cheteshwara Pujara now has joined the squad as well after being named in India’s squad for the first three Tests.

Dhawan, who took to social media to post a picture where he can be seen enthusiastic while standing in the slips alongside Pujara and skipper Kohli. Dhawan, said, "Kaise na ho gujara.. jab saath ho Kohli aur Pujara!"

Earlier, England Cricket Board announced squad for the Test series. They recalled Adil Rashid, who has played 10 Tests and picked up 38 wickets, in the 13-man squad ahead of Jack Leach and Dom Bess, the two Somerset spinners who have featured in the last three Tests.

All-rounder Moeen Ali has been recalled to the test squad for the first time since the tour of New Zealand to offer another spin bowling option, while Essex seamer Jamie Porter earned his first call-up.

Chris Woakes, who is still recovering from thigh and knee injuries, was left out of the squad as the selection panel was keen to avoid rushing the all-rounder back too soon.

England’s full squad: Joe Root (c), Moeen Ali, James Anderson, Jonny Bairstow (wk), Stuart Broad, Jos Buttler, Alastair Cook, Sam Curran, Keaton Jennings, Dawid Malan, Jamie Porter, Adil Rashid, Ben Stokes.
