Indian skipper Rohit Sharma has made history by becoming the first Indian captain to lead his team to ICC finals in all formats. This remarkable achievement was solidified as India faced off against South Africa in the T20 World Cup 2024 final at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados on Saturday.

Rohit Sharma now joins the ranks of New Zealand's Kane Williamson as the only two captains to accomplish this impressive feat. Prior to the T20 World Cup final, Rohit had already captained India in the World Test Championship final in 2023 in England and the ODI World Cup final in Ahmedabad.

Kane Williamson, on the other hand, led New Zealand in the 2021 WTC final, the 2019 ODI World Cup, and the 2021 T20 World Cup. Despite New Zealand's losses in both white-ball tournaments, they managed to secure victory over India in the inaugural World Test Championship title match.
