House of the Dragon, an American fantasy series, prequel to Games of Thrones, is quite popular among the audience. Fabien Frankel, the star of the hit series has been facing hate for his character Arch in season 2 of the show and has now limited his comments on social media.

Fabien Frankel’s portrayal of Criston Cole in season 2 has fans pouring in hate on the actor. When Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy) rejected him in season 1, since then Cole's resentment has been simmering under the surface of a suppressed misogynistic stew. The audience couldn't stop hating the actions of his character in the show and filled his social media with hate comments.

A Twitter user shared a screenshot of the abusive comments the actor was getting. One of the comments read, "How did you go from being the most-liked character and becoming the worst character in GOT history?” “Where were you when the heir to the throne was murdered?” asked another user. Another wrote, "Man I hope someone jumps this guy." Another wrote, "I hate you."

However, now, his fans have come in support of the actor and showered love on the actor while slamming those who can't separate the character in real life. One of the tweets read, "Fabien Frankel has now limited his comments on Instagram due to harassment. Please remember to separate the character from the actor. Fabien has done a wonderful job portraying Ser Criston Cole and he deserves praise for it. #HouseOfTheDragon."

Another fan wrote, "no, I'm sorry, Fabien Frankel is too talented & sexy for y’all to be bullying him into early retirement like past actors. I need that man on TV/movie screens everywhere, do not take this from me!!!!"

Another tweet read, "I for one would like to shout out what an amazing job Fabien Frankel is doing as Ser Criston Cole. That he’s getting this kind of a reaction may be somewhat unfortunate, people really should check themselves and separate the man from the character. Still, like Iwan Rheon & Jack Gleeson before him, hopefully, this is just a brief moment in time and those who are being rude now will look back with fondness for how he made us feel for good or bad #HouseOfTheDragon #HOTD."

Based on parts of Martin's 2018 book Fire & Blood, House of the Dragon begins about 100 years after the Seven Kingdoms are united by the Targaryen conquest, nearly 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, and 172 years before the birth of Daenerys Targaryen.

Featuring an ensemble cast, including Paddy Considine, Matt Smith, Emma D'Arcy, Rhys Ifans, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, Sonoya Mizuno, Milly Alcock, Emily Carey, Graham McTavish, Matthew Needham Jefferson Hallthe among others, the show portrays the events leading up to the decline of House Targaryen, a devastating war of succession known as the Dance of the Dragons. The series is available to watch on JioCinema.
