Afghanistan will lock horns with South Africa in the first semi-final match of the T20 World Cup 2024 at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad and Tobago tomorrow (June 27). The match marks a special occasion for the Rashid Khan-led side as this will be their first-ever semi-final match in the T20 World Cup history. The team managed to achieve this historic feat after beating Bangladesh and World champions New Zealand and Australia.

On the other hand, South Africa that are on an unbeaten run would be hoping to continue their winning momentum in the tournament.

However, there is a possibility of rain tomorrow according to the Accuweather forecast. The weather forecast predicts 1% possibility of rain during the start of the match. However, the possibility of rain can also rise up to a 44% as the game progresses.

If rain plays a spoilsport on Thursday, ICC has allotted a reserve day for this match. But, if no match is possible on both Thursday and Friday, Afghanistan will have no chance and be knocked out of the tournament due to their lower ranking.

Whereas, South Africa will pave their way to the summit clash due to their higher ranking during the Super 8 stage.

Both India and South Africa have obtained 6 points so far. While Afghanistan and England have earned 4 points each.

Meanwhile, the exciting match will commence at 6 AM IST on Thursday. The winner of the match will reach the final.

The second semi-final clash between India and England is also set to take place tomorrow at the Providence Stadium in Georgetown, starting from 8 PM IST. The winner of the match will secure the final spot and face the winner of the Afghanistan vs South Africa match on June 29 (Saturday).
