Youngsters Riyan Parag, Abhishek Sharma, and Nitish Reddy were rewarded on June 24 for their outstanding performances in the last IPL season with their maiden call-ups to the Indian national team for the upcoming white-ball tour of Zimbabwe. The team will be led by Shubman Gill.

Senior players currently participating in the ongoing T20 World Cup in the Americas, such as Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, and Jasprit Bumrah, have been given a well-deserved rest in preparation for the upcoming challenging season.

In addition to Parag, Abhishek, and Reddy, other standout performers from the IPL who will be joining the squad for the Zimbabwe tour include Tushar Deshpande, Harshit Rana, Avesh Khan, and Rinku Singh, among others.

The 15-member squad also includes Sanju Samson and Yashasvi Jaiswal, who were part of the bench during the T20 World Cup. Gill and Avesh, who were reserves for the T20 World Cup, have been released as they were unlikely to play in the remaining matches.

The tour of Zimbabwe will consist of five T20 Internationals, commencing on July 6.
