There is no denying the fact that IIT JEE entrance exam is one of the toughest exams not only in India but in world too. Every year lakhs of students from different parts of India sit in IIT JEE entrance exam in order to crack the exam and secure a seat in IIT. But only a few thousands of the brightest minds succeed in clearing the IIT JEE entrance exam. Many students appear in IIT JEE entrance exam twice or thrice with an aim to crack it but it in this story we will talk about a child genius who created history by cracking IIT JEE exam at the age of just 13.

We are talking about Satyam Kumar, who belongs to Bihar, and he is the youngest Indian to crack Indian Institute of Technology-Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE).  Satyam Kumar cracked IIT JEE exam in 2013 and he had secured 670th rank. Satyam Kumar is from Bhojpur district in Bihar and his father is a farmer. Satyam studied at Kota in Rajasthan to prepare for IIT JEE exam.

Satyam first appeared for IIT-JEE in 2011 at the age of 12 and secured AIR 8137 but he was not happy with the rank so he appeared again in 2012 and cracked JEE with AIR 679. 

"I was not satisfied with my low rank and hence repeated the test this year. I was confident of making it this year again," the child prodigy had said to the Economic Times. Satyam Kumar had once said that he wants to develop something like Facebook.

Satyam Kumar completed his BTech-MTech Dual Degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur and then went to the US to complete his PhD. Satyam completed his PhD in 2024 when he was just 24.
According to Satyam Kumar’s LinkedIn profile, he is currently open to work. Satyam has also worked at Apple as a Machine Learning Intern.
