Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's wedding, the couple is set to marry on July 12 at the Jio World Convention Centre.
Recently, Nita Ambani, chairperson of Reliance Industries, visited the Kashi Vishwanath Temple to present her son Anant Ambani's wedding invitation. During her trip to Banaras, she bought a lakh buti sari for INR 1,80,000 for the wedding. Additionally, she selected 60 more lakh buti saris.
During her stay in Varanasi, Nita Ambani had a display of saris made by Banarasi weavers set up at a local hotel. She examined various designs and was in touch with sari trader Amresh Kushwaha. After being contacted by Nita Ambani's team, Amresh brought a variety of saris to the hotel. Nita Ambani personally reviewed the saris and chose a red lakh buti sari adorned with gold and silver threads, which she purchased for INR 1,80,000.
Sari trader Amresh Kushwaha mentioned, "Nita Ambani's team reached out to me, so I brought 60 saris to the hotel. Late at night, Nita Ambani personally viewed the collection and liked the lakh buti sari, which is crafted with gold and silver threads and is red in color. The remaining saris are still with her team. It took about 50 to 60 days to make the sari she selected."
Craftsman Chhote Lal Pal, who made the sari, commented, "I made the sari that Nita Ambani liked. It is woven on silk fabric with silver threads and finished with gold. It took 60 to 62 days to complete. I am thrilled that Nita Ambani liked my work. When she wears it, I will proudly tell everyone that I made it."
Regarding Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's wedding, the couple is set to marry on July 12 at the Jio World Convention Centre. The wedding, conducted according to Hindu traditions, will last for three days. The Shubh Ashirwad ceremony will be held on July 13, followed by the Mangal Utsav or reception on July 14. Bollywood stars are expected to attend the wedding events. Anant and Radhika are personally inviting celebrities with their wedding invitations.
