Sridevi and Srilatha once shared a deep bond but their relationship soon turned sour due to circumstances. When Sridevi was just starting out her journey in the film world, her sister Srilatha was the one who accompanied her on sets.
Sridevi tragically died in 2018 but the impact she left in the hearts of her fans, friends, and family has still not diminished. The actress, who is known as the first and biggest female superstar in Bollywood, made a place for herself in the industry when actresses like Hema Malini and Rekha were at the peak of their careers. Sridevi worked in more than 300 films, most of which were superhits. While people are aware of the magnitude of Sridevi, few are aware of her siblings, especially her sister Srilatha.

When Sridevi was just starting out her journey in the film world, her sister Srilatha was the one who accompanied her on sets. From 1972 to 1993, Srilatha never left Sridevi's side. When Srilatha failed to become an actress she became Sridevi's manager.
However, the sisters' relationship took a drastic u-turn after the death of their mother in 1996. Sridevi's mother underwent an operation before her death which led to her losing her memory and eventually succumbing to her illness. Sridevi filed a complaint against the hospital after her mother died and received close to Rs 7.2 crore as compensation.
As per media reports, Sridevi kept the entire amount to herself which led to the two sisters' relationship turning bitter. Srilatha also filed a case in court against Sridevi to get her share. She won the case and was awarded Rs 2 crore.
These incidents forever changed the relationship between Sridevi and Srilatha. The two failed to unite even after Sridevi's tragic death. Reports state that Boney Kapoor also tried to reconcile the two sisters but after Sridevi's death, Srilatha was not seen in the prayer meeting in Chennai.
