Sonakshi and Zaheer shared their pics from the wedding ceremony, and they revealed that seven years ago, on this same date, June 23, 2017, Sonakshi and Zaheer started dating. They turned their friendship into a relationship on this date. This confession was made by the newlyweds, in their Insta caption, "On this very day, seven years back (23.06.2017) in each others' eyes, we saw love in its purest form and decided to hold on to it. Today that love has guided us through all the challenges and triumphs… leading up to this moment… where with the blessings of both our families and both our gods… we are now man and wife." Interestingly, Sonakshi and Zaheer turned off the comment section in their post.
Zaheer Iqbal's father revealed if Sonakshi will convert to Islam after marriage
In an interview with Free Press Journal, Iqbal Ratansi revealed, "She is not converting and that is for sure. Theirs is a union of hearts and religion has no role to play whatsoever. I believe in humanity. God is called Bhagwan by Hindus and Allah by Muslims. But at the end of the day, we are all human beings. My blessings are with Zaheer and Sonakshi." On the work front, Sonakshi was last seen in Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. Zaheer, on the other hand, was seen in Double XL.
