The COVID-19 cases in India are decreasing with time, and the panic sparked during the second wave of the pandemic is not dying down all across the country. With the pace of the vaccination drive also picking up each day, corporate companies have decided to make some calls regarding the mode of work of employees.
Since the pandemic hit in March 2020, most corporate companies and firms have resorted to the work-from-home model for nearly all their employees. As the positivity rate in the country is decreasing, some of these companies have decided to call the employees back to the office.
While some companies are resuming the work from the office model in its entirety, several offices have also decided to adopt the hybrid working model, where some employees will be allowed to work from home while some will be called to the office.
The hybrid model includes working from offices for 2 to 3 days a week and working from home for the rest of the days. This mode of work is being adopted by several offices such as Nestle, Dabur, and Amway.
Several companies have already started work from the office for employees who have been fully vaccinated. IT company Wipro also mentioned that people in leadership positions have resumed physical office if they have been vaccinated.
Recently, Deloitte also conducted a survey which stated that as the number of cases has reduced in the country and the vaccination drive is proceeding with full force, around 84 percent of the employees are ready to work from the office once again.
