Kiwi Camara, CEO of CS Disco, has stepped down as CEO and member of the board the company. The news is surprising as Kiwi Camara was earning over USD 110 million (around Rs 900 crore) as CEO of CS Disco, which means that his package was more than Apple CEO Tim Cook. Camara, 39, decided to resign as the CEO few months after earning USD 110 million as compensation package in 2022. He was at eighth spot on the list of world’s highest-paid CEOs for the year. Blackstone CEO Stephen Schwarzman is the highest-paid CEO in the world with a compensation of USD 253 million.

Kiwi Camara hails from Manila, Philippines and his parents were doctors. Kiwi Camara was a  bright student from a young age and he authored a medical paper at the age of 11. The medical paper was on alternative treatments for rheumatoid arthritis. At 16, Kiwi Camara completed Bachelor of Science in computer science from Hawaii Pacific University. He was recognized by the university for his brilliant academic performance.

Kiwi Camara then joined Harvard Law School and succeeded in receiving John M. Olin fellowship in law and economics. He was the youngest Harvard Law School graduate as he earned his Juris Doctor degree at 19.

In 2013, Camara founded CS Disco which sells AI-driven software to legal firms. Camara has given no reason behind his decision to quit as CEO of CS Disco. The Philippines awarded Camara its Jose Rizal Certificate of Achievement while he was in college recognized him with a Presidential Commendation in 2005.
