India's captain, Rohit Sharma, is calling on fans to join the team for the open bus victory parade celebrating their T20 World Cup win. The parade is set to kick off at 5 PM on Thursday, July 4. The team will first arrive in New Delhi early Thursday morning to meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi before departing for Mumbai via a chartered flight. The final leg of the journey will see the team travel to the Wankhede Stadium in an open bus for the last 1km.

In a message shared on social media on Wednesday, Rohit extended a warm invitation to fans to be a part of the celebrations during the open bus victory parade.

"We want to enjoy this special moment with all of you. So let's celebrate this win with a victory parade at Marine Drive & Wankhede on July 4th from 5:00pm onwards. It's coming home," Rohit wrote in a post.

BCCI Secretary Jay Shah also extended an invitation to fans to join the team in celebrating India's remarkable triumph in the T20 World Cup.

"Join us for the Victory Parade honouring Team India's World Cup win! Head to Marine Drive and Wankhede Stadium on July 4th from 5:00 pm onwards to celebrate with us! Save the date," Shah wrote.

Upon arrival in India, the players and support staff will be honored by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. They will have the opportunity to enjoy breakfast with the Prime Minister as well.

Following the felicitation, the entire contingent will depart for Mumbai via a chartered flight. As reported by the Indian Express, there will be an open bus parade from Nariman Point to Wankhede Stadium.

During a special presentation ceremony inside the stadium, Jay Shah will distribute the Rs 125 crore prize money to the team.
