Australian cricketer Glenn Maxwell and his wife, Vini Raman, joyfully welcomed their son on Monday, September 11th.
Four days later, on Friday, September 15th, Vini took to social media to share the first precious pictures of their newborn and proudly announced his name - Logan Maverick Maxwell.
Vini had previously revealed her pregnancy in May, acknowledging that her path to motherhood had been filled with challenges.
“Glenn & I are ecstatic to announce our rainbow baby is due September 2023. It’s so important for us to acknowledge this journey has not been the smoothest or easiest. I know firsthand how painful it can be to see posts like these wondering if and when your time will be. We send our love and strength to other couples who are struggling with fertility or loss,” she wrote.
“For those that aren’t aware a rainbow baby is a baby born after miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, molar pregnancy, termination for medical reasons, stillbirth or neonatal death. It symbolizes the rainbow that happens after a storm,” she added.
Maxwell and Vini exchanged vows in March 2022, following several years of dating.
Former Australian captain Aaron Finch’s wife congratulated the couple on the good news.
“Congratulations you guys! We can’t wait to meet your little man.”
Glenn Maxwell has been selected to represent Australia in the upcoming 2023 ODI World Cup, showcasing his prowess on the professional stage. However, his journey has not been without obstacles. Currently, he is grappling with ankle soreness stemming from a leg injury he sustained at a friend's birthday celebration last year. This unfortunate setback prevented him from participating in the ongoing five-match ODI series in South Africa.
Hailing from Victoria, Maxwell is anticipated to make a triumphant return during the three-match ODI series in India, serving as a crucial preparation ahead of the highly anticipated 2023 ODI World Cup.
