Hardik Pandya, the vice-captain of the Indian cricket team, has achieved the prestigious title of being ranked as the number one all-rounder in the latest T20I rankings released by the International Cricket Council (ICC). His exceptional performance played a pivotal role in India's victory in the final of the T20 World Cup 2024, where he successfully defended 16 runs and took the crucial wicket of Heinrich Klaasen, turning the game in India's favor. Pandya's outstanding performance in the final saw him take three wickets for just 20 runs and score a vital 23 runs off 13 balls in the semifinal against England.

In the latest rankings, Hardik Pandya has risen two places to claim the top spot in the all-rounders rankings, sharing the position with Sri Lanka's T20I captain Wanindu Hasaranga, both with 222 rating points. However, Pandya holds the top spot by a slight margin. Marcus Stoinis of Australia occupies the third position, followed by Sikandar Raza and Shakib Al Hasan in the top five all-rounders list. Notably, Afghanistan's Mohammad Nabi, who previously held the top spot in the rankings during the T20 World Cup, has now dropped to sixth place with 205 rating points.

Hardik Pandya emerged as India's Most Valuable Player in the T20 World Cup 2024, scoring 144 runs in six innings at an impressive average of 48 and a striking rate of 151.57. Additionally, he took 11 wickets, ranking third highest for India behind Arshdeep Singh and Jasprit Bumrah, who claimed 17 and 15 wickets respectively.

Axar Patel has also made significant progress in the rankings among all-rounders, currently holding the 12th position. His impressive performance in the T20 World Cup final, where he scored a crucial 47 runs and took a wicket, showcased his skill and determination on the field. Additionally, Patel was awarded the player of the match in the semifinal against England for his exceptional performance, claiming three wickets as a left-arm spinner.

As a result of his outstanding contributions, Patel has climbed seven places in the all-rounders rankings, now boasting 164 rating points to his name.
