Millions of people long to be part of the glamour world, but there is one person who left that career to become a government official.

We are talking about inspiring story of IRS Takseen Khan. 

Nurturing a passion for fashion and beauty since young age, Taskeen started modelling following her schooling days. Taskeen was not an excellent student in early school. But was good in extracurricular and was a basketball champion, a national-level debater, a professional model and actor. 

She later also qualified for admission to NIT but was unable to join the institute due to her family’s inability to pay the fees. 

But her incredible confidence helped her to win titles such as Miss Dehradun and Miss Uttarakhand, fuelling her dream of becoming Miss India. However, financial limitations and rejection forced Taskeen to change her path in bid for stability.

Unfettered by troubles, Taskeen dreamt to crack the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination. With unwavering determination, she engaged in rigorous preparation. The BSC graduate also received Jamia’s free entrance exam coaching and shifted to Delhi in 2020. However, Taskin failed thrice in prelims. 

Battling financial issues at home with father’s meager pension, Taskeen Khan finally cracked the UPSC exam in 2020, after four attempts, She secured All India Rank of 736 and is currently an IRS officer.
