Sonakshi Sinha has finally addressed the brutal trolling on her inter-faith marriage with Zaheer Iqbal.
After a long wait of 7 years, Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal finally tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in a civil marriage on June 23. However, their inter-faith marriage faced a lot of criticism. The actress has now finally reacted to the same.
Sonakshi Sinha has now addressed the trolls who have been criticising her inter-faith marriage on social media. The actress re-shared a post on her Instagram story that has Sonakshi and Zaheer's caricatures and talked about love being “the universal religion”. Sonakshi also dropped a comment on the post shared by Prasad Bhat, and wrote, “Truest words!! This is adorable! Thank you.”
Recently, even Sonakshi Sinha's father Shatrughan Sinha opened up on protests in Patna against Sonakshi Sinha's wedding with Zaheer Iqbal and said, "Anand Bakshi saab has written about such professional protestors, ‘Kucch to log kahenge, logon ka kaam hai kehna. To this I would like to add, ‘Kehne waale agar bekar, bekaam-kaaj ke ho to kehna hi kaam ban jata hai (For unemployed people, this is all the work they have).’ My daughter has done nothing illegal or unconstitutional."
He further reacted to the protestors calling Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal's wedding 'love-jihad' and said, "A wedding is a very personal decision between two people; no one has the right to interfere or comment. To all the protestors I say – go, get a life. Do something useful with your life. Aur kucch nahi kehna (I have nothing else to say).”
Sharing her adorable picture kissing Zaheer Iqbal from her wedding reception, the actress captioned the post, "Whattttt a day!!!! The love, the laughter, the togetherness, the excitement, the warmth, the support from every one of our friends, families, and teams... it was like the universe came together for two people in love to give them exactly what they've always hoped, wished and prayed for If this is not divine intervention We don't know what is #t We are both truly blessed to have each other and so much love protecting us."
